SEE HOW LAKOTA HOME WATER FILTERS STACK UP TO THE COMPETITION
But first, a little about "product comparison guides"
All comparison guides are not created equal. While they are an easy way to compare which contaminants are removed, they don't show how much of the contaminant is removed.
Who's got the most carbon? Amount matters.
No system removes 100% of all contaminants.
The most important considerations for maximal removal:
1. Amount of carbon
2. Carbon quality
3. Kind of carbon
Lakota systems have a lot more carbon.
Lakota uses only the highest quality carbon available.
We stock 4 different kinds of carbon.
Filters with lower quality and less densely packed materials need to be replaced more often because they reach maximum adsorption capacity more quickly. This is why "pour-through" pitcher filters need to be replaced every 1-2 months and have a narrower range of contaminants that are removed.
