#UPgr T2UC Upgrade Kit for Lakota
Scientific customers. Replace standard UC unit with a new,
improved model: the T2UC which uses three replaceable filter
cartridges instead of two. An inline filter now contains the
oxidation-reduction media and acid washed bituminous carbon for
filtering high molecular weight chemicals and chlorine. The two
housings will contain identical high performance LCB carbon blocks
which use coconut sourced carbon for the removal of low molecular
weight chemical contaminants. The LCB also contains a broad spectrum
metal sorbent that removes arsenic, lead, uranium, chromium and
mercury as well as particles down to one micron in size, which would
include cryptosporidium and giardia microorganisms. The two LCB carbon
blocks are installed in series giving the upgraded version of the UC
improved contact time for water flowing through the unit as well as
