The standard Lakota Water Filter System is designed to provide you with the best
performance at a reasonable price. Our unit features six stages of
filtration using three separate media housings to incorporate
oxidation-reduction, bituminous carbon, coconut carbon in two different
forms, heavy metal sorbent, prefilter and post depth filters. Our replacement cartridges work
together to maximize the life of cartridges. The system's three filters
require periodic changing or rotating: Change the inline fiter every
two years and replace and rotate one solid carbon block (LCB) every year. We'll remind you when it's

| Changing the LCB. The two carbon blocks in the standard
Lakota Water Filter are identical -- water flows through them in
series. Identify them as "inlet" housing and
"outlet" housing. The inlet housing receives water from
the inline filter; the outlet housing is connected to the faucet.
Replace the outlet housing block with a new LCB carbon block. Rotate
the old LCB outlet block to the inlet housing. Remove the filter
from the inlet housing and discard it. Download
